Spring Back To Life
Last December, the hills of Santa Clarita were dry and barren. The grass was brown, the ground was hard, and the Santa Clara River ceased flowing. But in January, a few days of heavy rain brought everything back to life. Water is a source of life.
Much like the landscape in the SCV, our lives need water to flourish. Not just the water you drink after a hard workout or when the temperature is 100 degrees outside, but a constant stream that we receive when we have a flourishing relationship with our creator. We all need spiritual nourishment. Jesus said, “ Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’”
If you are spiritually thirsty, there is water available. Living our daily lives in this hustling and bustling environment can deplete all the life from you. You can easily become dry and barren just like the hills in Santa Clarita after summer. During this season we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, tap into the life giving water Jesus supplies. You need to have a relationship with Jesus Christ that will nourish you, fill you and sustain you in life’s most trying times.
