A Note From the Publishers – May 2023

It’s our absolute pleasure to feature our one and only Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital on our cover this month. It’s hard to believe that the event we are helping to promote is their 50th Annual Golf Classic. We are also forever in debt to Frontier Toyota the title sponsor of this event, you will find new owner Aman Abraham on our cover this month. Aman immediately stepped up to the plate and agreed to support this very important event for our hospital ER. It’s community involvement and philanthropy like this that makes Santa Clarita Valley a wonderful place to live, so THANK YOU Aman for your generous support of Henry Mayo. If you are in the market for a new car, stop by Frontier Toyota and introduce yourself, thank Aman for making our valley a safe community and mention that you saw him in the Santa Clarita Magazine.
We have many great events in this issue, there truly is so much going on in the SCV. I was contacted by a friend from the past, Sharon Bronson who, along with Fred Arnold is promoting a super cool Summer Breeze Concert Series, if you haven’t been lucky enough to hear the smooth sounds of Terrell Edwards, June 10th at Bridgeport Clubhouse is probably the best time to do it. Tickets will go fast and are limited so check out the story on page 22 and give them a call.
May 20th is a busy day with a plethora of entertainment, ranging from a Hoedown at Gilcrest Farms for Circle of Hope, a spectacular backyard Broadway event to benefit Parkinson’s Disease, a Summer Blast experience at Oak Tree Gun Club, a Texas Hold ‘em Poker Tournament benefitting the Sheriff’s Foundation and lots more fun, so flip the pages to find something that you just might enjoy while supporting a great cause.
I just love our focus on Old Town Newhall, this is our 9th Annual and there’s still so much happening on Main Street! This month meet the hardworking people behind the diverse businesses that you will find there, and don’t forget to calendar Senses, live music, great food, inviting atmosphere, while supporting small businesses that work tirelessly to bring you great community events. The City of Santa Clarita sure had a great vision with the transformation of Main Street so kudos to them!
We have several guides in this issue, Mother’s Day is just around the corner and our gift guide just might help you when deciding what to buy for that special lady in your life. We are pleased to present a group of local professionals in our Medical Directory. If you need to find a great restaurant, please visit our recurring Dining Guide and after you’ve had your fill of that, perhaps check out our Fitness Guide just in time to get trim for the summer sun, that we hope arrives soon.
