Riding off Into the Sunset of the Current School Year and Awaiting a Glorious Sunrise for the Next At Newhall School District, Where the Child Comes First!
The end of every school year is a time of reflection for teachers, administrators and all staff who are invested in the future of the children in our care through quality education. How did we do? How could we improve? What new learning options do we want to implement in the coming school year?
Well, as we stare into the glow of the current school year’s sunset, we are happy to say that for Newhall School District, 2022-2023 has been memorable on many levels.
Because of the leadership of the Governing Board in collaboration with our teachers, classified staff and district administrators, Newhall School District’s high academic expectations and outcomes are more present than ever. We have:
• Grown our Dual Language Immersion Program,
• Advanced our arts and music programs,
• Celebrated theater through our Walnut Street
Players program
• Continued extracurricular science and math
activities.
These accomplishments are in keeping with our Mission Statement, which asserts that: Newhall School District students will become global citizens who think critically, solve problems, embrace diversity in people and viewpoints, and have a passion for learning and the arts.
Our motto is “Empowering Every Child Every Day,” and Newhall School District students go on to achieve at higher levels, thanks to NSD’s whole-student development philosophy, which combines the strengthening of students’ minds, bodies, and values.
All 10 of Newhall School District’s campuses – McGrath, Meadows, Newhall, Oak Hills, Old Orchard, Peachland Avenue, Pico Canyon, Stevenson Ranch, Valencia Valley, and Wiley Canyon – are multi-year recipients of the much-coveted California Distinguished School Award.
While our campuses are located in the Santa Clarita Valley, enrollment in Universal Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade is open to all children, including those living outside district boundaries throughout the year!
As the sun sets on the 2022-2023 school year, it is time to prepare to welcome a new sunrise of possibilities for the education and development of your child at Newhall School District in 2023-2024?
Simply visit bit.ly/NSDenrollment, or call Rosana Valadez (in English or en Español) at (661) 291-4163 to start the enrollment process.
NEW ideas, NEW friendships, NEW beginnings—a glorious new dawn of attainable dreams: That’s Newhall School District, where the child comes first!
