Your Story is My Story
Ismael called me on one of my listing signs asking if the house was still available. I said, “No, but I can show you others.” I set up showings and met Ismael at the properties. He drove up in a red pickup truck dressed in construction clothes. We met, shook hands and proceeded to preview the houses. Ismael wanted a total fixer upper, large yard for parties and a driveway that goes to the back to park his construction work trucks. Ismael is a contractor, working on four houses in Santa Monica. We spent about a month previewing homes. Eventually, he brought his fiance, Silvia and told me they’re getting married in a week and are excited to be buying a house and making it their home so they could move out of their garage they’re renting. I was extremely impressed, congratulated them and couldn’t wait to be a part of their story, helping them buy their first home. We eventually found exactly what they wanted, the perfect dump/fixer. We made an offer, it was accepted, opened escrow and closed in three weeks. I was with Silvia and Ismael throughout the whole transaction, meeting them at the bank to wire their deposit, explaining all the disclosures and escrow papers in person. We are now friends, have gone out to dinner and soon my husband and I are going over to their home for tacos! I admire them for sacrificing, saving their money, and working hard to live the American Dream. I love what they have accomplished in our country. They are an extraordinary couple, I’m blessed to have met them. I can’t wait to see their dumpy house renovated into their dream home. This is why I love what I do, helping and meeting wonderful people from all walks of life. Their story is now part of my story. Helping people with their real estate needs is my passion!
