A Note From the Publishers – August 2023
On our cover this month, we showcase three outstanding organizations, each offering a unique and enjoyable experience.
The WiSH Education Foundation proudly presents Cocktails on the Roof, a delightful event returning to Hello Subaru of Valencia on September 8. Indulge in an exquisite selection of specially crafted food and cocktails while relaxing in your own private lounge. For more details, please see page 20.
Support the SCV Sheriffs Foundation by joining them on September 11 at the Valencia Country Club for their 3rd Annual Golf Tournament. Remember, all funds raised on this very fun day will stay in the Santa Clarita Valley. See the story on page 22.
Soroptimist International of Valencia is thrilled to present Bras for a Cause at the Hyatt Regency Valencia on September 23. Witness live models displaying beautifully decorated bras, which will be auctioned to raise funds for the organization. Buy your tickets early, as this event is expected to sell out.
Mark your calendars for August 23, when Mayor Jason Gibbs and the City of Santa Clarita host an Evening of Remembrance in honor of local teenagers lost in vehicle accidents. The evening will commence at 7:15 p.m. with a Walk of Remembrance, followed by a brief ceremony at the Youth Grove in Central Park.
