It’s an amazing feat to be able to produce and deliver not one, but two magazines directly to your home. We hope you enjoy this issue.
We’re delighted to announce that élite Magazine features our distinguished Ultimate Award Winners, alongside captivating local profiles. You can explore these remarkable individuals online at the following link: https://bit.ly/elitemagseptoct2023.
Now, let’s dive into the current issue of Santa Clarita Magazine! The cover shines a spotlight on three exceptional non-profit events right here in the SCV.
First up, the College of the Canyons Foundation cordially invites you to their 32nd Annual “Swing for Student Success” Golf Tournament at the picturesque Valencia Country Club on October 2nd. They’re actively seeking sponsors and enthusiastic golfers to contribute to this fantastic event and help pave the way for students to achieve their educational dreams.
If golf isn’t your cup of tea, mark your calendar for October 7th. Swing by the Bella Vida Senior Center and treat your taste buds to delectable dishes prepared for this year’s “Charity Chili Cook-Off.” While this event boasts a decade-long history, it’s noteworthy that the Rotary Club of Santa Clarita is stepping in as the new presenter. Come show your support for their commendable efforts.
Alzheimer’s, a harrowing ailment affecting over six million Americans, needs our attention. Shocking statistics reveal that one in three seniors succumbs to Alzheimer’s. The time to act is now! Join the local chapter of Alzheimer’s, spotlighted on our cover, by visiting www.actalz.org. The 2023 Walk to End Alzheimer’s is scheduled for Saturday, October 7th, at Bridgeport Park. The day starts at 8 am, offering you the chance to volunteer, sponsor, donate, or even join a team!
And speaking of participation, we’re inviting you to nominate your favorite restaurants. Cast your vote daily until September 8th. Follow this link: scvelitemagazine.com/ultimate-awards. Our recurring Dining Guide starting on page 48 will help you to find excellent dining options in the SCV. Additionally, don’t miss out on our Fall Home & Garden Directory, tucked away on page 94 of this issue. It’s a goldmine of home-related businesses waiting to serve you. While flipping through these pages, be on the lookout for nonprofit events that pique your interest. We also highly recommend paying a visit to our advertisers, as they are the ones who make this publication possible.
As you gear up for a safe and enjoyable Labor Day weekend, remember, we’ll catch up with you again in October!
Warm regards,
Linda, Moe & Alexander Hafizi
