Dr. Hu is a distinguished plastic surgeon based in Valencia, with deep roots in Los Angeles. Dr. Hu’s journey into the world of plastic surgery began at a young age, driven by a fascination with its artistic aspects and the profound satisfaction of transforming patients’ lives. His career in cosmetic surgery has become his life’s masterpiece.
Dr. Hu embarked on his academic journey at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he earned a full academic scholarship and the prestigious title of University of California Regent Scholar. In 1991, he graduated from UCLA with honors, both at the college and departmental levels, earning membership in Phi Beta Kappa.
His pursuit of medical excellence led him to the Baylor College of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree in 1995 and garnered recognition for his dedication to medical ethics. Following this achievement, Dr. Hu completed a rigorous five-year general surgery residency at the University of California, San Diego in 2000. Subsequently, he embarked on a two-year fellowship in plastic surgery at UC Davis, where he served as Chief Resident, solidifying his expertise.
Since 2003, Dr. Hu has been meeting the plastic surgery needs of Santa Clarita, the Antelope Valley, and nearby areas. Renowned for his meticulous attention to detail and high patient satisfaction, he was honored with the Physician of the Year award in 2004 while working with a prominent plastic surgery group.
In 2005, he established Valencia Plastic Surgery, a practice dedicated to addressing both aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery requirements in Santa Clarita and its surroundings. Dr. Hu’s philosophy revolves around delivering comprehensive healthcare tailored to each patient’s unique needs, blending cutting-edge techniques with compassionate care.
He currently holds a position on the medical staff at Providence/Holy Cross Medical Center and is actively involved in leadership roles, including the Medical Executive Committee of the Summit Surgery Center in Santa Clarita and the chairmanship of the Physician’s Advisory Board for the same surgery center.
