City of Santa Clarita Congratulates … Amy Seyerle, Georgia Rios, Karine Darabedyan and Kelsey Bealer
The City of Santa Clarita celebrates the achievements of our staff members who have been recognized in the esteemed 40 Under Forty class of 2023. Under the leadership of the City Council, an immense value is placed on this spirit of service, encouraging our team to extend their impact beyond their professional roles to the community at large. This year’s honorees include Kelsey Bealer, Karine Darabedyan, Georgia Rios and Amy Seyerle.
Kelsey started at the City as an intern in 2017, and quickly promoted into the Administrative Analyst role in Human Resources. Kelsey coordinates multiple training programs yearly to ensure employees’ continued success. She contributes her time to supporting nonprofits through the City’s internal Charitable Giving Campaign and volunteering for organizations as part of the Junior Chamber International Santa Clarita chapter.
Karine’s career with the City began in 2021. She serves as a Management Analyst for the Community Development and Economic Development Departments. Karine has taken on several organizational-wide projects and manages a budget of $60 million. Karine serves as an active member of the Santa Clarita Valley Salvation Army Advisory Board and as a Reserve Officer for the Los Angeles Police Department.
Georgia Rios’ has significantly contributed to the strengthening and success of the City’s communications and public information outreach through her position as Communications Specialist. Georgia began her career as a swim coach for the Special Olympics Southern California Santa Clarita and Tri-Valley Chapter, teaching safety skills to residents of all ages. Georgia is a member of the Santa Clarita Valley Salvation Army Advisory Board where she works to provide a range of services to our community.
Amy’s career began in the City Manager’s Office serving as the Executive Assistant in 2017. She promoted to Management Analyst and has executed the annual Community Services and Arts Grants program and had key involvement several youth-based programs in the City. Amy is a board member for the Santa Clarita Valley Education Foundation, serving on the Teachers Grants Review Panel and planning the 2023 Touch-a-Truck event.
