The Brittany Foundation Finding Their Forever Home – November 2023
A non-profit humane organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of homeless dogs, has several dogs for adoption.
LEO
This sweet Silky was “rescued” from a shelter a couple of years ago and then was recently surrendered to us when his owners no longer had time for him. He is probably around 8 years old. Leo enjoys leisurely strolls and long afternoon naps. He does bark since he is a dog, so shared walls might not be the best situation for him. He is obviously ridiculously cute, but please only apply to adopt him if you can give him the structure, stability, and love he deserves for the rest of his days. He has already lived in four different places, and we are committed to making sure his next home is his “forever home”. P.S. He prefers adults. You can see more of this little love on our Instagram page, @thebrittanyfoundation.
SNOOPY
He was surrendered to us in 2022 when his person was too sick to care for him. He was then adopted and lived in what we thought would be his forever home, but a year and a half later they returned him back to us due to no fault of his own. He is energetic, enjoys long walks, and loves nothing more than to be right next to someone. We think he is now about 10 years old. He may be a mix of Rat Terrier and Chihuahua, but we can never be sure of that. He is hit or miss with other dogs, mostly miss, so we want to place him as an only dog (and no cats) in an adult-only home or home with teen children. If you are looking for the most loyal best friend that will never leave your side, this is the guy for you.
MIMI
She is curious, sweet, athletic, and definitely a “heart dog.” She is, however, a package deal because she is fiercely devoted to Lulu. These two have pretty much only had each other for quite some time now. Their person fell ill and entered hospice care, which is why they are here. We were told they were from the same litter and are only 3 years old. We think we see similarities, but we are not 100 percent sure. Mimi most certainly has the scruffy face and hair of a Terrier, but she has the heart of an angel.
LULU
She is part of a duo. Lulu gains confidence in the presence of Mimi and will need a patient adopter who understands these two have been through a lot early in their lives. Despite the hurdles they have faced, they have been nothing but loving and affectionate to all of us. They are 3 years old and surely Terrier and Chihuahua mixes. They will only be placed in a loving forever home together. You can see more videos of them on our Instagram page, @thebrittanyfoundation.
