A Note From the Publishers – March 2024

It’s truly astounding how jam-packed this March issue of the Santa Clarita Magazine is, with some really exciting events! With the advent of spring, our local nonprofits are bustling with activity, so be sure to jot down those important dates for the events you would like to support. Our calender of events is on page 104.
On April 14th, Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley proudly presents The Wine Affair, returning to Main Street in Newhall this year. A significant portion of the proceeds raised for this event will go towards supporting the commendable efforts of ZOE International in their relentless fight against human trafficking. With a lively Viva Las Vegas theme, this event promises to be an absolute blast—we are pleased to feature the sponsors and members of SIGSCV on our cover – find more the details on page 22.
Transport yourself back to the swinging ‘60s on April 20th at The Centre, as the Santa Clarita Master Chorale hosts their Cabaret & Cabernet event, titled Let the Sunshine In. Featuring an eclectic mix of music from the Beatles to the Beach Boys, this promises to be an evening to remember—find all the groovy details on page 24. We are pleased to feature the hardworking volunteers of the Santa Clarita Master Chorale on our cover this month.
Don’t forget to reserve the date for the Wish Foundation’s much-anticipated Wine on the Roof event on April 25th at The Centre. Indulge in a sumptuous sit-down dinner, expertly paired with a selection of fine wines.
On April 27th, the SCV Senior Center invites you to their Celebrity Waiter event at the Bella Vida Courtyard, featuring the lively sounds of the tribute band Surfin and a California Dreamin’ soiree you won’t want to miss.
May 3rd marks the prestigious Santa Clarita Valley Man & Woman of the Year event, with a record-breaking number of candidates vying for the title this year. We’re especially proud that Alex, our son, has been nominated by three different organizations for his unwavering dedication to local nonprofits. Good luck Alex, we love you!
Get ready to party on Main Street as the SENSES block parties return, kicking off with Neon Nights on March 21st. Prepare for an evening of games, neon makeovers, live music, and tantalizing cocktails from Newhall Refinery’s on-street bar.
In this issue, dive into our comprehensive guides showcasing the best of the best. Our Worship Guide starts on page 50 – and is just in time for the Easter season. Discover top-notch youth enrichment programs in our Kids Education & Summer Camp Directory, and glean inspiration for your home and garden from our Spring Home and Garden Directory.
