From Despair To Delight Santa Clarita Christian Fellowship Church
Think back to four years ago, when we were in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. We worked from home, stood in line to enter the grocery store, could not find toilet paper and paper towels, schools went remote, you could not visit a loved one in the hospital, and even places of worship were closed to parishioners on Sunday. All this combined to put us in a scary place. With the development of the vaccine, a greater understanding of how COVID spread, and the community working together, we have emerged from one the most challenging most of us have every experienced.
Such is the case with the Jesus’ followers when He was crucified. They saw Him die, and they were in a state of despair. His followers’ hopes were crushed. Their expectation that He would defeat the Roman Empire disappeared. It appeared that nothing would get better. What brought them delight? One simple event – The resurrection! 1 Peter 1:3 declares, “On account of his vast mercy, He has given us new birth. You have been born anew into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
At this time of the year, we can celebrate going from despair to delight. What was seemingly hopeless, is now hopeful. You are invited to join us at Santa Clarita Christian Fellowship as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Our service times on Resurrection Sunday, March 31, will be at 8:00 am & 11:00 am. You are invited to join us for breakfast from 9:00 – 10:30 am. There will be a dramatic presentation on Good Friday, March 29 at 6:30 pm at the church.
We are located at 27754 Church Street, Castaic, CA. For more information, please go to our website www.mysccf.com
