The Brittany Foundation Finding Their Forever Home – April 2024

by | Mar 28, 2024 | Pet Services

A non-profit humane organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of homeless dogs, has several dogs for adoption.

HOLLY – She has been with us for too long. Holly was adopted as a puppy from another rescue, returned to them a few years later, lived at that rescue for a couple of years before they closed, and then we welcomed her here. She has now been with us for 3 years. She does great with everyone here, enjoys walks, and most of all, loves her toy collection. She needs to be placed in an adult-only home with no other animals, which we know makes it that much harder, but we remain hopeful that the right home is out there for her. Holly is a German / Standard Pinscher.
LOUIE – This adorable 2-year-old Mauzer (a Maltese and Schnauzer) was surrendered to us when his person became too ill to care for him and there were no family members who could take him in. He was completely shut down when he arrived here but has made a great deal of progress. He does alright with other dogs and is great with people once he knows them. We think he has so much potential, but it may take meeting him more than once before he is ready to call a new place home. An experienced adopter would be ideal for him, as would an adult-only home. He’s a rare find and would surely become someone’s heart dog if just given the proper training, love and patience. He is currently living in a foster home in Santa Clarita.
GEORGI – This 2-year-old Border Collie is a star. She is housebroken, good with other dogs, and does not need to be crated when left alone. She does need a yard and a relatively active person or family since she is just a young pup. She has been living in a foster home for the past two months and is thriving. Georgi is everything a person could ask for in a furry family member.
SNOOPY – Before we welcomed him here in 2022, he lived in one home for 8 years but tragically lost his person to illness. He was adopted later that year in what we thought would be his forever home, but unfortunately (through no fault of his own), he is back with us here at The Ranch. Our focus now is only on finding him a wonderful and loving home where he can live out his senior years knowing nothing but love and kindness. Snoopy has been doing great since his return. He’s been on a strict diet and exercise program, which has helped him shed some much-needed weight. He has two scheduled long walks daily, but he is always up for another. He’s been good with all the kids that volunteer here too. He is not a fan of other dogs, but that has always been known, and he’s a big “no” to cats. He’s charming, silly, fun, and so loving. You can see more of Snoopy on his Instagram highlight reel on our page, @thebrittanyfoundation.
