A Note From the Publishers – June 2024
June gloom? Not in the Santa Clarita Valley!
Welcome to the June issue of Santa Clarita Magazine! This month is packed with exciting events and activities, and we’ve catalogued them all right here for you.
We have three fabulous events on our cover. June 1st is a popular day, so get whisked away to a tropical oasis filled with wonder and thrills at the Boys & Girls Club at the Tiki Hideaway for an exciting event that raises much-needed funds for the club, or celebrate at the Eat, Drink, Local, Festival with free admission, a food truck lineup, live music, a kids kingdom, and much more. Proceeds from the festival will support housing expenses for unhoused students and families in our school district.
Later in the month, on June 22nd, Circle of Hope invites you to their Hoedown for Hope at Gilchrist Farm, featuring BBQ, music, and more. Enjoy an unforgettable evening filled with toe-tapping music from the G3 Band. Tickets are selling fast – read more on page 24.
Get ready for a night of Motown on June 8th as Terrell Edwards and friends bring “Hitsville” to the Santa Clarita Valley. Spend a groovy evening at Cal Arts – we’ll be there and can’t wait!
Celebrate dad the entire month and don’t forget to take him to the Valencia Town Center on June 22nd for a special event, Cars, Coffee, and Cuisine. This vibrant gathering celebrates our community’s passion for cars, coffee, and food. The Car Club Show will feature an array of classic, vintage, and exotic cars that will captivate auto enthusiasts of all ages. Whether you’re a car aficionado or just enjoy a good photo op, the interactive car displays will allow you to get up close and personal with some of the coolest cars around. For coffee lovers, the Specialty Coffee Stands will offer a haven of aromatic delights, with local roasters serving a variety of beverages from bold espressos to refreshing cold brews. The food offerings promise to be just as exciting, with gourmet food trucks and local restaurants showcasing their signature dishes. Turn to page 26 for more information.
