Perseverance, Persistence and Passion – The A LIST Hair and Makeup Studio

The A LIST Hair and Makeup Studio, celebrating 15 years in SCV, is nestled inside the historic Red Perkins building in the beloved Art Center in redesigned ‘OTN’.
Our intimate salon brings a relaxed vibe as most days Sally works one on one with each client. In addition to color, hair-cuts and makeup for our clients, we do Wedding, Prom and Quinceanera makeup and hair, teach makeup classes, do fashion video shoots, and rent the salon for filming and events. Our clients enjoy relaxing in the peaceful courtyard shared with our lovely neighbors. And now to those days not at the salon; Beyond SCV, over the hill in LA, Sally goes on location to create camera ready looks for major networks and Local 706 Red Carpet events.
As per Sally’s book “It’s Not Over Yet!” she quotes, “My favorite days in my Old Town Newhall salon, The A LIST are when I get to help my ladies. “Rediscover their beauty power”. There comes a time in our lives when we begin to feel that we are becoming ‘invisible’, that the special light that once illuminated from us has dimmed. I’m not asking ladies to ‘look younger’ I’m suggesting a subtle change of hairstyle and/or color and some updating of makeup and hair that can help bring back that gorgeous woman that you might have thought was gone forever. It’s okay to still have fun, laugh; always smile. As a colorist/hairstylist and makeup artist; this is my life’s work; I see the beauty of a woman first, and flaws second. I’m not looking for 5 star reviews…. I’m looking for the words “I feel beautiful”
