Summer Season – Oakmont Senior Living
Summer is officially here, and now, more than ever, it’s time to have fun in the sun at Oakmont Senior Living. Whether we are sipping cool drinks in the shade next to one of our elegant water features, or dining “al fresco” with ambiance at dusk, we have lots of exciting plans! Stop by Oakmont of Valencia or Oakmont of Santa Clarita and see how our residents are enjoying multiple opportunities to savor the good life!
The summer season (especially in Santa Clarita) can come with dangerously hot temperatures, so we encourage our residents to drink plenty of water throughout the day to maintain hydration. Older adults tend to become dehydrated more easily due to health conditions or medication-related problems which can increase their risk. For example, blood pressure medications can easily flush water from the body. Symptoms of dehydration include dry mouth, sugar cravings, headaches, fatigue, and dizziness among other things – all which can be very taxing on the body and the brain. Let’s all drink plenty of water this summer to avoid any unnecessary risks.
We welcome your visit to Oakmont of Valencia or Oakmont of Santa Clarita! We offer premiere assisted living and memory care to residents who enjoy luxurious, resort-style amenities. Call (661) 568-6080 to schedule your tour and we will be sure to great you with an ice-cold bottle of water when you arrive.
