At Gilchrist Farm, we teach English, Western, and Driving disciplines, ensuring that our students are well-prepared for any equestrian pursuit—be it the arena, the show ring, or the trail. We offer a range of lessons from introductory sessions to advanced competition training, all designed to enhance your understanding and skills.
Fun and Learning for All Ages
For our youngest riders, we offer Junior Lessons on our gentle ponies and horses. These half-hour sessions, priced at $45, are perfect for children aged 3-6. They focus on the fundamentals of safe and effective horsemanship in a format that’s engaging and manageable for younger children. For school-aged children and adults, our comprehensive one-hour lessons at $60 provide a deeper dive into riding and horsemanship.
Flexible Lesson Packages
We understand that consistency is key to mastering horsemanship, which is why we offer multi-lesson packages at discounted rates. Private one-hour lessons are available for $60, while a package of four private lessons is priced at $220 and a package of eight at $430. Junior lessons are offered at $45, with packages of four and eight lessons available for $170 and $320, respectively. We also offer group or show team lessons for $45, subject to instructor approval.
The Lease and Lesson Program
For those looking to immerse themselves even further, our Lease and Lesson Program provides an unparalleled opportunity to develop a one-on-one relationship with a horse. This program allows riders to enjoy independent riding time in addition to their lessons. The basic half lease/lesson package includes two rides per week and one lesson per week for $800 per month. For a more intensive experience, our full lease/lesson package, priced between $1000-$1200 per month depending on the horse and package, allows for daily riding and weekly lessons.
