Families are important to a child’s success in school and throughout life. The NSD embraces their parent-family partnerships to support our young learners and to inform decisions through PTA/PTO, site council, DELAC and ELAC that impact their children’s school and educational and enriching opportunities.
NSD is one of the highest achieving school districts in California, composed of the following 10 schools: McGrath, Meadows, Newhall, Oak Hills, Old Orchard, Peachland, Pico Canyon, Stevenson Ranch, Valencia Valley, and Wiley Canyon. All 10 are California Distinguished Schools and have won the much-coveted California Pivotal Practice (CAPP) Award. Seven out of our 10 schools are National Blue Ribbon Schools. We truly are #UnleashingCreativity and #IgnitingExcellence.
At Newhall School District, we make district-wide enrollment available year-round, even to families who reside outside district boundaries. We—and that means all of us: teachers, administrators, and fellow students—are always eager to welcome newly enrolled kids to thrive among us in the spirit of Newhall School District’s motto: #WhereWeAllBelong!
Furthermore, our district highly values and views parents and families as active partners in their child’s education, and wholeheartedly welcomes their engagement through such opportunities as serving on advisory committees for English learners, special education and other areas; attending family nights; and taking advantage of highly enriching parent education programs.
Newhall School District is a UPK- 6th grade district. To enroll your child simply contact Rosana Valadez at 661-291-4163 in English or Spanish; or visit nsdopenhouse.com to submit an enrollment inquiry.
