Purple Walk Domestic Violence Awareness 5K 2024
On Saturday, October 12, the Child & Family Center held its annual Purple Walk Domestic Violence Awareness 5K at their main facility in Santa Clarita. The event, sponsored by Hello Subaru of Valencia, raised funds for the Center’s Domestic Violence Program, which provides critical support and resources for survivors. Attendees enjoyed a pancake breakfast, music, and family-friendly activities before starting the 3.2-mile walk, which highlighted the importance of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The walk also brought attention to the impact of domestic violence on pets, allowing participants to bring their furry friends along for the cause.
