When Does A Resale Store Become A Fairy Godmother? – Assistance League
What is the job description of a fairy godmother? Hmmm. my reference would be in the story of Cinderella. In Cinderella, the fairy godmother grants a wish. Cinderella’s wish was to go to the handsome prince’s ball. Just how did the fairy godmother make this wish possible? She took a gently used gown and shoes, added some “bling” to them, rallied some volunteers to help and poof, Cinderella went to the ball in style!
Assistance League® Clarita’s Resale Store is our community’s fairy godmother! Our shop takes your gently used clothing donations and sprinkles them with love and accessories.
This combination seems to magically change these items into trendy beautiful outfits. Our customers, like Cinderella, leave the store ready for any event of their choosing.
In Cinderella, the fairy godmother’s role stops at getting her to the ball. Not with us! That is just our beginning. We take every penny from the sale of that cute shirt or cozy sweater and create more magic. For example, new school clothes for children in our community, eye exams and glasses along with teddy bears to provide comfort in a time of crisis.
Come and be a part of the magic. You too can be a fairy godmother or father to our community. Donate your gently used items to our store, come to the Resale Store and find a treasure, or go all out and become a Community Partner. You too will feel the joy that a good deed brings.
