J.R.’s Comedy Club Celebrates 28th Year Anniversary

Twenty-eight year’s ago Randy and Diana Lubas along with Diana’s brother Emil decided Santa Clarita needed a place to enjoy live comedy.
J.R.’s Comedy Club will Celebrate it’s 28 Year anniversary on December 14. We have been bringing world class comedy shows every week through thick and thin with Celebrity Comedians as well as up and coming talent. We will have a special show on December 7 with nine great comedians.
Next on Dec 21 we are producing a Holiday Comedy Concert at The Santa Clarita Performing Arts center at College of the Canyons. It will be starring Don McMillan, a Santa Clarita resident who has exploded on the comedy scene after his unforgettable performances on America’s Got Talent. Don does his act in power point and is a favorite of engineers and tech people everywhere. Joining Don that that night are everyone’s favorite Weatherman Fritz Coleman and Randy Lubas himself!
Then, on New Year’s Eve we will have our legendary two shows at The Banquet room at The Hilton Garden Inn with Double headliners Darren Carter “The Party Starter” and Larry Omaha. We have East Coast New Year’s Eve from 5:30 until 9:00 when we do a countdown as if we are in Time Square. Then we do it all over again with people having dinner in the restaurant area then moving into the showroom for the West Coast show at 10:15 where we will ring in 2025 at Midnight.
Over the years we have had celebrities like Shawn Wayans, Dana Carvey, Billy Gardell, Elayne Boosler, Emo Philips, Jamie Kennedy, Bobby Collins, Willie Barcena, and Judy Tenuta.
We will always need laughter in this world, and we will continue to be your go to place for the laughs!
