Santa Clarita Symphony Orchestra Recruting For Principal Viola
Are you a viola player looking for new opportunities to share your craft in 2025? Santa Clarita Symphony Orchestra is now recruiting for a principal viola. Auditions will be held at Remo Drum Center starting at 1:30 pm on January 11th.
SCSO is known for performing the classics such as Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker Suite, Brahms’ Academic Festival Overture, Rimsky-Korsakov’s Capriccio Espagnole as well as new pieces from local composers. SCSO organizes four concerts per year at the beautiful Canyon High School Performing Arts Center. The 2024-2025 season has been nothing short of incredible, with the inaugural youth concert competition concert in October and a crowd-pleasing holiday concert in December. The rest of the season will be just as exciting as March brings Broadway to the SCV in “Broadway Classics” and May serenades with “The Romantic Symphony.”
Interested in playing with SCSO but not sure you’re ready for the principal chair? No worries. You can still join if space is available. Auditions are only required for principal chairs.
All musicians may contact SCSO about opportunities at info@santaclaritasymphonyorchestra.org or visit their website at santaclaritasymphonyorchestra.org (click on “contact us” in About SCSO).
