The Brittany Foundation Finding Their Forever Home – December 2024
A non-profit humane organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of homeless dogs, has several dogs for adoption.
Sadie
She spent the critical first few months of her life trying to survive on the streets of Los Angeles with a pack of other dogs. When she was rescued, she was given to a foster that was not prepared to welcome a young pup into her home, which is how she ended up here. She is doing great in a foster home in Acton, so she’s ready to move into her forever home.
Snoopy
Before we welcomed him here in 2022, he lived in one home for 8 years. He was adopted into what we thought would be his forever home, but unfortunately, it did not work out due to no fault of his own. He is not a fan of other dogs or cats. Snoopy’s silliness and loving personality are sure to bring immense joy to his future home. He has so much love to give.
Fluffy
This sweet young pup was also a “rescue only” from the Castaic shelter before we were able to welcome him here earlier this year. He’s 3 years old and is most likely a Cocker Spaniel and Golden Retriever mix. He gets nervous when he meets new people, so we are looking for a potential adopter to spend some time with him here first. His ideal home will be adult only. Once he knows you, he is sweet and so much fun. Check out his highlight reel on our Instagram page, @thebrittanyfoundation.
Holly
She was adopted as a puppy from another rescue, returned to them a couple years later when they had kids, lived at that rescue for a few years before they closed, and then we welcomed her here. She has now been with us for over 3 years. She is safe, loved, and a cherished member of our family here, but the goal is always a forever home. She is about 8 years old and not a fan of kids or other animals, but she adores everyone who works and volunteers here.
Moe
This sweet senior found himself at the Castaic Shelter as a stray in August before we welcomed him here. He lives with some of our other littles; Clarence, Frank, Spice, Scotty, and Larry. He couldn’t care less about going for a walk, keeps his space super tidy, and just wants a quiet and peaceful home to live out his golden years. One last thing, cats are a big “no”. He is not a fan and deceptively fast when he wants to be.
Ace
This sweet young pup lived with an unhoused person for the first 6 months of his life and then was rehomed to someone who just dumped him on a busy road in Acton. He is not even a year old and has never had a stable home. He definitely has Heeler in him and your guess is as good as ours on the rest. He’s sweet, playful, is eager to please and only weighs 25 pounds.
Mia
She is the first to meet anyone new who comes here, so that tells you a lot about her. This sweet senior just needs a chance. We know finding “only dog” homes is tough, but we will keep trying. Mia lived in a home for 7 years before she was surrendered here over 2 years ago. Short walks and couch snuggling are her favorite pastimes.
Vera
This sassy, fun-loving 8-year-old Chihuahua lived in a home, then another home, then was surrendered to the Castaic shelter, where she was scared, struggling, and unfortunately given the “rescue only” tag, which means a rescue had to pull her. Since she has been here with us, she is doing great. She is unbelievably athletic, playful, and is a star student in her training classes.
