Coming to The Olive Branch “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike”
Produced by BROKEN LEG THEATRE and directed by Shanan Harrell comedy Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike by Christopher Durang (winner of the 2013 Tony for Best Play) is coming to The Olive Branch following its run at The Main in downtown Newhall!
The Story: Middle-aged siblings Vanya and Sonia share a home in Bucks County, PA, where they bicker and complain about the circumstances of their lives. Suddenly, their movie-star sister, Masha, swoops in with her new boy toy, Spike. Old resentments flare up, eventually leading to threats to sell the house. Also on the scene are sassy maid Cassandra, who can predict the future, and a lovely young aspiring actress named Nina, whose prettiness somewhat worries the imperious Masha.
Featuring the talents of George Cummings as Vanya, Mia Zumsteg as Sonia, Nancy Lantis as Masha, Sean Babcock as Spike, Jeni Wilson as Cassandra, and Sanya Arnold as Nina, this comedy is set to bring laughter and maybe even a tear or two.
