Feel the Power of Music: Mission Opera Presents Carmina Burana
Few musical works command the stage and captivate audiences as powerfully as Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana. Composed in 1936, this scenic cantata has become one of the most widely performed pieces for chorus and orchestra in the twentieth century. Its thunderous opening and closing movement, “O Fortuna,” has achieved iconic status, embodying the powerful twists and turns of fate.
Mission Opera, a driving force for cultural enrichment in the San Fernando Valley, brings this transformative work to life on Saturday, March 1st, 2025, at 7:30 pm at the Canyon High School Performing Arts Center.
