The Brittany Foundation Finding Their Forever Home – March 2025
A non-profit humane organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of homeless dogs, has several dogs for adoption.
Marlowe
Maybe there was a reason they had to leave him at the shelter after 11 years … we have no way of knowing for sure. Here’s what we do know: Marlowe has energy for days, out-walks nearly every pup here, is a great watchdog, and is pretty chill with other dogs. He loves treats, belly rubs, and long afternoon naps. While we are fortunate to have a place for him here at The Ranch, a loving and forever home is always our goal for every dog we rescue. He has been with us for 2 years in March. Please help us find him his forever home.
Morgan
This spirited little Chihuahua was surrendered here along with Wally (not pictured) when their person passed away. While Morgan adores people, Wally tends to be hit or miss, with more misses than hits. We had hoped he would eventually warm up so we could keep them together, but we’ve come to realize that this is unlikely to happen. Although they are familiar with one another, it’s difficult to say they are truly bonded. Therefore, we believe it would be in Morgan’s best interest to give her a chance at finding a forever home. She is enthusiastic about everything and enjoys long, adventurous walks.
Nina
This little cutie was surrendered to us along with Thor. Both are three-year-old Poodle-Maltese mixes. In their previous home, they were running the show without clear boundaries, which led to some less-than-ideal behaviors. However, since their arrival, they have been placed on a strict schedule for feeding, walks, and socialization. In just two weeks, they’ve transformed so much that we can hardly recognize the dogs that were surrendered! They both enjoy walks, belly rubs, and cuddles. We believe they could be adopted together or separately. Ideally, we encourage potential adopters to spend some time with them here before making a decision. We are looking to place them in an adult home or a home with older kids could also be considered.

Clarence
This charming senior pup arrived at the Castaic shelter as a stray and quickly captured the hearts of the volunteers, who couldn’t stand to see him in that bustling environment. Luckily, we were able to provide him with a warm welcome here. He enjoys his days at The Ranch alongside Frank, Scotty, Moe, Larry, and Spice. Like any typical senior, his eyes are somewhat cloudy, and his hearing isn’t perfect, though he can still hear a treat wrapper crinkling from three rooms away.
Moe
This sweet senior found himself at the Castaic Shelter as a stray in August before we welcomed him here. He lives with some of our other little seniors: Clarence, Frank, Spice, Scotty, and Larry. He couldn’t care less about going for a walk, keeps his space super tidy, and just wants a quiet and peaceful home to live out his golden years. One last thing, cats are a big “no”. He is not a fan and can be deceptively fast when he wants to be.
Chip
He was running out of time at the Castaic shelter before we were able to welcome him here. But he has already been here for 2 years. He is a playful American Bulldog mix, around two years old. He is goofy, loving, energetic, and also a couch potato. He is doing well in his training sessions and, for the right adopter, we will even cover the cost of additional training to ensure a smooth transition into his loving forever home. Sadie
During the crucial early months of her life, she struggled to survive on the streets of Los Angeles alongside a group of other dogs. When she was rescued, she was placed with a foster caregiver who wasn’t equipped to care for a young puppy, leading to her being surrendered here. Fortunately, she is thriving in her foster home but is ready to find her forever home. We know there is no shortage of deserving pups in need of homes right now, but please consider Sadie. She has so much love to give and would make an incredible companion.
