A Note From the Publishers – March 2025
Spring has officially arrived, bringing with it longer days, blooming flowers, and a fresh start to the season. March is a time of renewal, and here in Santa Clarita, it’s also a month full of community celebrations, exciting events, and a little bit of Irish luck!
This month’s cover shines a spotlight on two incredible local organizations, both bringing wine lovers together for a great cause. Circle of Hope’s Vine 2 Wine event is set for March 22 at the Sand Canyon Country Club, promising an elegant evening of fine wine and fundraising. Shortly after, Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley’s The Wine Affair will take over Main Street on April 6, offering a perfect blend of music, wine, and community support. These two events are must-attend gatherings for anyone who enjoys good wine, good company, and giving back.
March is also a time for celebrating milestones! Single Mothers Outreach is marking an impressive 30 years of empowering single-parent families, with an anniversary celebration planned for May 9. Let’s show our support and appreciation for this organization’s incredible impact on the community.
In the spirit of giving back, the SCV Senior Center is hosting its annual Celebrity Waiter event on April 26 at the beautiful Bella Vida venue. With recent budget cuts affecting senior services, this event is more crucial than ever. Let’s rally together to support our seniors and ensure they continue to receive the care and programs they deserve.
We also want to take a moment to congratulate our very own Alexander Hafizi for once again being nominated for SCV Man & Woman of the Year by three different organizations. We wish him the best of luck, but to us, he will always be our number one!
Music lovers have much to look forward to as well. The Santa Clarita Master Chorale is celebrating its 25th Anniversary season on March 9 and will host its annual Cabaret & Cabernet: “The Beat Goes On” on April 26. Let’s raise a glass and enjoy a night of incredible music and entertainment!
A well-deserved congratulations goes out to Marlee Lauffer, who will be honored on May 17 at the Langham Huntington Hotel at the 33rd annual Silver Spur Celebration. Marlee has been an invaluable part of our community, and this recognition is truly well-earned.
Looking for a way to make a difference? Join Project Linus on March 22 for their Make a Blanket Day—a heartwarming event where volunteers create blankets for children in need. Every stitch brings comfort to a child facing difficult times, and your participation can make a world of difference.
Spring also means giving back in creative ways! Allbright’s Paint It Forward is back, offering $10,000 in free exterior painting to a deserving family. Don’t miss your chance to nominate someone who could use a fresh start.

On a personal note, we’d like to extend our warmest wishes to Ginger LeVang of Salon 7 on her well-earned retirement. We’ve known Ginger for 32 -years, and she has been a true supporter of the magazine and a dear friend. Congratulations, Ginger—we wish you all the best in this next chapter!

Until next time!
