The Most Precious Jewels You’ll Ever Have Around Your Neck Are the Arms of Your Grandchildren
One of my favorite pictures is this one—me with my two precious grandchildren, Joelle and Russ. We have another grandbaby on the way, and my heart is full! When I’m with them, time slows down. I see the world through their eyes, laugh at the little things, and soak up every magical moment.
Being a grandparent is one of life’s greatest joys.
It’s also one of my favorite parts of being a realtor—helping friends make the move to be closer to the ones who matter most. A few years ago, Nancy and Pete Fisher thought they’d found their forever home in Santa Clarita—until frequent visits to family in North Carolina showed them where their hearts truly belonged. When Nancy texted me, ready to make a change, we got to work. Before long, they were off on a new adventure. Today, they’re happily settled and surrounded by loved ones.
My dear friend Joyce, whom I met nearly a decade ago while volunteering at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, also made a big move. She called last November, ready to relocate to Arizona to be near her grandkids. She’s now settled in her new home, and we’re in escrow on her Arroyo West condo in Valencia!
These moves are always bittersweet. I love helping friends through these transitions, even though it’s hard to say goodbye. But seeing them where they truly belong—celebrating birthdays, cheering at soccer games, and being present for everyday moments—makes it all worthwhile.
Every move has a story. At the heart of each one is love and family. That’s why I do what I do. It’s not just about selling homes—it’s about being part of someone’s story.
Thinking about a move? I’d love to help. I get it!
