The Brittany Foundation Finding Their Forever Home – August 2025
A non-profit humane organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of homeless dogs, has several dogs for adoption.
Morgan
This spirited little Chihuahua was surrendered to us along with Wally when their person passed away. While Morgan adores people, Wally tends to be hit or miss. We had hoped we could keep them together, but we’ve come to realize that this is unlikely to happen. So, although they are familiar with one another, they are not truly bonded. Therefore, we believe it would be in Morgan’s best interest to give her a chance at finding a forever home. She is enthusiastic about everything and enjoys long, adventurous walks. Currently in training and is a star.
Bonny
A goofy, 3-year old, 150-pound bundle of love, although it does take some time to gain her trust. Bonny is a Central Asian Shepherd, also known as an Alabai. This breed is specifically raised to protect people and livestock, so an experienced adopter is essential. She requires ample space to roam—ideally, a large piece of land—along with a job to keep her engaged and a structured environment to thrive. Holly
Adopted as a puppy from another rescue, she was returned to that rescue when they started a “family.” When that rescue shut down, we welcomed her here. Holly has now lived over 5 years of her life in a rescue. She’s the perfect medium-sized dog, and while she is not a fan of other dogs or kids, and can be a little quirky, she is as sweet as can be with all of us. She loves leisurely mornings and greets everyone she meets with a toy and tag wag. Admittedly, she can be a little grumpy and quirky from time-to-time, but can’t we all? We would happily consider a local foster for her too.
Marlowe
Dumped at the South LA Shelter in January 2023 by the only family he had ever known, he was short on time there, before we welcomed him to the Ranch. He’s now been here for 2 years. Everyday he is so excited to see everyone, go for his long walk, and then chill the rest of the day. We think he’s about 12 or so, but can still out-walk every dog here, and lives with our other senior littles.
Sadie
She spent the critical first few months of her life trying to survive on the streets of Los Angeles with a pack of dogs. Thankfully she was rescued, and through a friend, she ended up here. Often, she is a little unsure around men, but when she determines their intentions she becomes a puddle of love. She currently lives in a foster home where she gets rave reviews. Sadie is smart, athletic, and unbelievably loyal. She has loads of energy and would love to find a human companion who can match her love of adventure. An adult home would be best. BB
A blossoming 3-year-old Chihuahua with an incredible journey. Found in a church parking lot, he spent months too scared to let anyone near him. But with patience and training, he’s learning to trust—and he enjoys the company of kids and other dogs! Now, BB is ready for a forever home with an experienced adopter. Free training sessions with the person who knows him best are included to help him transition smoothly into his forever home.
Vera
This vibrant and playful 8-year-old Chihuahua has had quite the journey. After a divorce situation, she was surrendered to the Castaic shelter, where she felt frightened and overwhelmed. Unfortunately, she received the “Rescue Only” label, indicating that a rescue organization needed to step in. Since joining us, she has thrived remarkably. She is incredibly athletic and full of energy. She recently had knee surgery from an injury, but has recovered and is now anxious to find a home of her very own.
Chip
He was running out of time at the Castaic shelter before we were able to welcome him here. But he has already been here for a year and a half. He is a playful American Bulldog mix, around two years old, and strong-willed. We are looking for experienced adopters and we will even cover the cost of Chip’s additional training to ensure a smooth transition into his forever home.
