A Note From the Publishers – August 2025
We are honored and proud to share that this month, the William S. Hart Union High School District presented us with the One Hart Award, which recognizes staff, students, and community members who exemplify the Hart District’s core values. To be included among those making a difference in our community is incredibly meaningful to us. Here we are accepting this award—what a special moment to celebrate.
This month’s cover features a preview of something very close to our hearts—Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital’s 50th Anniversary. Inside this issue, you’ll find a 24-page special supplement celebrating five decades of outstanding service, growth, and commitment to the health of our valley. We are deeply grateful to everyone who supported this commemorative section. We’ve included a detailed timeline that walks you through the many milestones and accomplishments of the hospital through the years. Having worked alongside Henry Mayo for more than 20 years, we consider it a privilege to honor their legacy and continued impact on our community.
Also featured on our cover is the SCV Sheriff’s Annual Golf Tournament, happening September 8. This event is a fantastic way to support the hardworking men and women of our local sheriff’s department and the vital role they play in keeping Santa Clarita safe. We hope you’ll consider attending or sponsoring this important cause.
Another incredible event to mark on your calendar is the Soroptimist International of Valencia’s 22nd Annual “Bras for a Cause,” themed Music of the Night. Set for September 27, this event is both a fundraiser and a celebration of strength, raising awareness and vital funds for women in our community facing breast cancer. It’s always a meaningful, heartfelt evening you won’t want to miss.
As we gear up for fall, Valencia Town Center is keeping the summer fun going strong. Don’t miss their Back to School Bash on August 9—a perfect way to help families kick off the school year with energy, excitement, and entertainment.
And speaking of excitement, nominations for the SCV 40 Under Forty close August 15! Don’t miss your chance to spotlight the young professionals who are making waves in our community across all industries.
Be sure to check out our 2025 Business Directory, included in this issue, featuring top local professionals—from attorneys and realtors to insurance experts and more. It’s a great resource you’ll want to keep handy.
We’ve also packed in plenty of helpful content to help you launch into the new school year. Turn to page 64 for our Back 2 School Education Guide, filled with services and ideas to make this year a success for students of all ages. And don’t forget to flip to page 88 for our August Calendar of Events, a comprehensive list of what’s happening around town.
As always, we want to thank our advertisers and our readers—we couldn’t do this without you. Your support means the world to us, and we’re so grateful to continue serving this incredible community we call home.
Until next time!
Sincerely, Linda, Moe and Alexander Hafizi
