Defy Gravity at SIGSCV’s 14th Annual Fashion Show: A Masquerade in the Emerald City of Dreams – Saturday, September 13, 2025
Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley (SIGSCV) invites you to follow the Yellow Brick Road to an unforgettable evening of fashion, community, and purpose. On Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m., the Hyatt Regency Valencia will come alive for the 14th Annual Fashion Show & Boutique.
This year’s theme, Defy Gravity: A Masquerade in the Emerald City of Dreams, brings new energy to a beloved tradition. The evening begins with a sponsor garden reception at 4:30 p.m., followed by a fashion show featuring designs from local boutiques including In Good Company, White House Black Market, J. David’s Custom Clothiers, Hazel’s Bagz & Apparel, Form + Content, Care Tucker, and Propinquties—brought to life by inspiring community models. The night concludes with dancing under the stars.
“Behind every dazzling dress and sparkling mask is a woman or girl with a story of strength, resilience, and hope—and our mission is to make sure she is seen, supported, and celebrated,” says Chair Lissa Mahler.
Proceeds benefit SIGSCV’s signature programs: Dream It, Be It, which hosted six conferences last year for high school girls, and the Live Your Dream Award, which granted 17 awards to women pursuing higher education while supporting their families. These programs reflect both local and global impact.
This year introduces a flexible sponsorship model, with levels including the Wizard Sponsor, Emerald City Sponsor, and Glinda Sponsor. Program-specific options like the Ruby Slipper Sponsor and Yellow Brick Road Sponsor directly fund SIGSCV’s mission. For full details, visit https://auctria.events/SIGSCVFashionShow.
“Our community always shows incredible heart,” says President Luana Smith. “This year, we’re making it even easier to turn that passion into real-world change.”
The evening will also feature a curated raffle and a returning model contest fundraiser, where the public can vote for their favorite participant by donating online.
