Earthing and the Hidden Health Benefits of Koi Ponds SCV Koi & Water Garden Club
Having a pond or garden can be the perfect way to reconnect with nature. It gives us the opportunity to create a magical space for ourselves and our local wildlife. Living in California’s climate allows us more time outside, which is proven to be beneficial to our overall well-being.
There is a term called “earthing” which refers to the physical connection with the Earth, like walking barefoot on the grass, touching water, or working with soil. This is believed to reduce inflammation, decrease stress, and improve sleep. When you have a garden or pond to tend to, earthing will naturally be incorporated into your everyday routine.
By choosing native plants for landscaping your yard or pond, you will attract butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and other pollinators which brings more blooms and boosts biodiversity. Working with stones, driftwood, or creating natural seating areas can also enhance your natural space and invite more peaceful moments outdoors. From digging holes, to cleaning your pond for your fish to thrive, this will create harmony for all things.
The SCV Koi & Water Garden Club welcomes people who are exploring adding a pond or water garden or already have one. We meet in one another’s homes and gardens once every month. Our membership has many decades of experience that they are happy to share. Contact the https://www.santaclaritakoiclub.com/ at info@SantaClaritaKoiClub.com.
