This August, Discovery Cube Los Angeles invites families to dive into real-life heroics and hands-on wellness with two action-packed experiences included with general admission.
Now open through September 1, Rescue: The Exhibition drops guests into the heart of land, sea, and air rescue missions. Step into the shoes of first responders as you navigate a
smoke-filled room, fly a helicopter simulator, and race against time in a jet ski rescue challenge. From virtual fire extinguishing exercises to a cliff walk illusion and drone drop simulations, this high-intensity exhibit uses science and technology to reveal what it takes to save lives under pressure.
Younger visitors can suit up in real rescue gear, watch dramatic footage, and explore how emergency teams—from firefighters to marine patrols—train and respond with precision. A highlight for many: the “Cut the Car” demo, which shows how tools are used to extract passengers after a crash. It’s an experience that blends heart-pounding adventure with practical STEM learning—and it’s unlike anything else in Los Angeles.
Then, from August 3–10, families can focus on their own wellness journey at Discovery Cube’s annual Health Fair Week. The entire museum transforms into a fun and interactive health hub featuring:
• Live science shows and stage presentations
• Free health screenings and dental checkups for kids
• Fitness demos, cooking stations, and hydration tips
• Community booths from trusted partners like LA Galaxy, LA Kings, Valley Presbyterian Hospital, Kids Community Dental, Breathe Southern California, and many more!
