Start with an oil and filter change, coolant service and a safety check. Typically, coolant should be changed every two years but in many new vehicles it may last up to about five years. It’s a good idea to have an emergency kit in your car. As a Californian, this is a necessi-ty due to earthquakes! Make sure you have in your kit a pair of gloves, shoes for walking, blankets, flares, flashlight and water! It doesn’t hurt to have a few high energy bars or snacks in your glove box too!

Just remember there is really no reason to put off or avoid getting your car serviced, why wait? Your car will be more reliable if taken care of in the fall and winter months and your family safety ensured.
