Popular artist Frank Rock in one-man gallery show “Allure” at The Main
The works of award-winning artist Frank Rock line the walls of the gallery at The Main in Old Town Newhall and will remain on display until September 17.
The coastal-inspired collection captures the vibrant beauty, emotional depth, and ever-changing rhythm of the ocean through Rock’s expressive and colorful brushwork.
The public is invited to an artist reception at The Main on Wednesday, September 3, from 6 to 8 pm. Light refreshments will be served.
“Beaches have always had a special allure for me,” said Rock. “I love bright tropical colors and the ocean’s mosaic of greens and blues. Thinking of the beach takes me back to summers when I was young, running along the sand, feeling the sun on my face.
“I hope my artwork takes you away to your perfect escape, where you hear the crash of the waves, smell the crisp sea breeze and feel peaceful. When someone looks at a piece and comments, ‘I can smell that’ or ‘I hear the crashing waves’ with just a visual connection, I know I’ve done my job.”
Drawing from real-life travels and treasured memories, “Allure” explores the sensory experience of beach life, from sunlit waves and tropical breezes to the intimate and powerful presence of the ocean.
All pieces are available for purchase; delivery will be made after September 17.
The Main is located at 24266 Main Street, Santa Clarita.
