A Message from Congressman George Whitesides

Hi everyone – it’s Congressman George Whitesides. I have the honor of representing Santa Clarita, and the surrounding area, in Washington, D.C. As your representative in Congress, the most important part of my job is showing up for you, and helping you receive the support you need.
Every day, my team and I are working to solve real problems for people across our community. Whether it’s helping a veteran access long-overdue benefits, supporting a small business applying for federal grants, or assisting a family with a delayed passport, our office is here to serve you.
Here are a few ways we can help:
• Passports: If you are traveling this summer, my office can help you with passport renewals, applications, or answer any questions you may have.
• Small Businesses: My staff can help connect you to the resources available to you and your employees through the federal government.
• Veterans’ Benefits: If you have any questions about eligibility, need help filing claims, or have any concerns with the VA, we are here to help!
• Social Security and Medicaid: If you are having issues with the Social Security Administration, Medicare, or think your benefits are delayed or lost, my office can help you track those down.
• Housing: We provide support when handling HUD claims for eviction, homelessness, foreclosure, and federal housing programs.
• Visas: My office can check your case status, submit expedited requests, or assist with petitions for family members.
• Flag Requests: We can help you purchase an official U.S. flag. You may also choose to have your new flag flown over the Capitol.
• Academy Nominations: Do you need a nomination to one of our nation’s Military Service Academies? Information and applications are available on my website.
• Tours and Tickets: Visiting Washington DC? We can help arrange a tour of the Capitol and other notable DC landmarks.
