A Note From the Publishers – October 2025
October has arrived, bringing with it crisp autumn days and a calendar filled with community celebrations, fundraisers, and meaningful events. Here at Santa Clarita Magazine, we are proud to shine a light on the organizations and individuals who work tirelessly to make our valley such a special place to live.
On our cover this month, we’re highlighting a few standout nonprofit events. Circle of Hope Cancer Support Center will host its 21st Annual Afternoon Tea, Happily Ever Afternoon Tea, on October 18 at Bella Vida at the SCV Senior Center. Each table is uniquely decorated by sponsors and this year’s whimsical theme includes nods to beloved stories like Alice in Wonderland, Snow White, Peter Pan, and The Jungle Book. Guests can look forward to a magical afternoon complete with live music and a silent auction, all supporting the vital services Circle of Hope provides to those facing cancer.
The Valley Industry Association is also preparing for an unforgettable evening with its annual VIA BASH on October 24 at the Hyatt Regency Valencia. With this year’s theme, Mad Hatter’s Ball, the event promises festive fun while honoring individuals and organizations that exemplify leadership, innovation, and service in our community. We are especially honored that Santa Clarita Magazine has been nominated for Business of the Year—it is truly humbling to be recognized among so many outstanding local businesses. The VIA Awards are a meaningful tradition, and we look forward to celebrating the nominees and recognizing their impact on the Santa Clarita Valley.
Looking ahead to November, the WiSH Education Foundation will once again present Wine on the Roof – Under the Roof at Bella Vida on November 6. This intimate evening combines fine dining, curated wine pairings, live entertainment, and auctions—all to raise critical funds for over 20,000 students in the Hart School District. Each course is prepared by a different local chef, making it a true culinary showcase with a powerful purpose.
Of course, these are just a few of the many happenings in our community. Be sure to check out our full Calendar of Events on page 88 for even more opportunities to get involved this month.
October also marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month. On page 28, Circle of Hope’s 31 Days of Hope highlights local businesses offering discounts and donating proceeds to support cancer treatment and support services. On page 30, you’ll also find a list of generous businesses helping Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We encourage you to support these partners as they work together to provide lifesaving care for our neighbors and friends.
Every issue, we also feature adoptable pets from The Brittany Foundation, and this month is no exception. If you’re considering adding a furry friend to your family, we hope you’ll visit and meet one of their adorable animals waiting for a forever home.
For families, our Kids Fall Guide on page 62 is filled with seasonal activities, while our Medical Guide on page 72 provides valuable resources for your health and wellness.
As always, none of this would be possible without the continued support of our advertisers and readers. We thank you for trusting Santa Clarita Magazine as your guide to local living. Together, we celebrate the people, businesses, and organizations that make Santa Clarita such a vibrant and caring community.
Until next time!
Sincerely, Linda, Moe and Alexander Hafizi
