Child & Family Center’s Purple Walk Domestic Violence Awareness 5k and Help Raise Funds to Support Survivors!
Child & Family Center invites the community to its annual Purple Walk Domestic Violence Awareness 5K on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Center’s main facility, 21545 Centre Pointe Parkway. This special event raises both funds and awareness during National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, supporting programs that provide safety, shelter, and hope to survivors while working to break the cycle of abuse and promote healthy relationships.
The event kicks off with check-in at 8:00 a.m., followed by a morning filled with fun activities for all ages. Guests can enjoy live music, snacks, slushies, popcorn, and a delicious pancake breakfast courtesy of SCV Rotary. The 3.2-mile walk begins at 9:15 a.m. along an easy, family-friendly route with minimal inclines and no major street crossings—perfect for walkers of all ages.
Pets walk for free, helping highlight how animals are often impacted in homes affected by abuse. Participants are encouraged to bring their furry friends as part of the awareness effort.
Registration is $40 for adults, $20 for teens, and $10 for children ages 5–12, including breakfast and medals (finisher’s medals for adults and kids’ medals for children). Every participant also receives a $10 MB2 Entertainment coupon. Attendees can increase their impact by creating or joining a fundraising team, and volunteers are welcome to assist at the event.
Special thanks to Hello Auto Group, the presenting sponsor, as well as NP Law, Supervisor Kathryn Barger, MB2 Entertainment, Reape-Rickett Law Firm, SCV Rotary, Boston Scientific, City of Santa Clarita, Aida Weinstein, and Dr. Michael and Kris Huber for their support.
