Progressive Steps has been providing therapeutic services to children in the Santa Clarita Valley, San Fernando Valley and Antelope Valley for over 30 years. They provide early intervention services from birth to 3 years for children presenting with developmental delays funded through the Early Start Program at the North Los Angeles County Regional Center. Progressive Steps is in network with all major insurance carriers for children birth to age five years for Occupational and Physical Therapies and birth to age seven for Speech Therapy.
Progressive Steps has a highly skilled staff of therapists that bring years of experience, care, and compassion to the families that they serve. They provide a team approach with parents to best help children learn and grow developmentally.
Speech and language pathologists are specifically trained to meet each child’s unique communication needs. Their staff assess and develop individualized treatment plans for children ages birth to age seven in the following areas: receptive language, expressive language, oral-motor development, and articulation/phonological development.
Occupational therapists help little ones build essential skills for everyday life. Through engaging activities and hands-on exercises, the therapists nurture the development of children ages birth to age five, in fine motor coordination, sensory processing, and problem-solving abilities. By integrating fun and meaningful activities like drawing, building, and sensory play, they help children gain independence and joy in everyday experiences.
Physical therapists work with children ages birth to age five – focusing on movement, strength, range of motion, muscle tone, posture, balance, coordination and quality of movement. Parents are guided in home-based activities and exercises to ensure carryover of the physical therapy program. Overall, their physical therapy staff provides individualized goals and activities for each child through movement, play, and encouraging progress in daily routines.
Children learn best in environments where they feel most comfortable. Child Development is provided to children birth to age three years through the Early Start Program. Services are provided in home and out in the community to promote development across all domains, including cognitive, social-emotional, motor, language development, and adaptive skills.
