Keep Your Plumbing Running Smoothly This Holiday Season – Bob’s Rooter & Plumbing
The holiday season is here, and with it comes a lot of excitement, family gatherings, and, of course, extra work for your home’s plumbing. Between festive meals, holiday guests, and a busy schedule, the last thing you want is a plumbing emergency ruining the fun. That’s why this month, I’m sharing a few tips to ensure your plumbing stays in top shape through the holidays.
First, the kitchen is going to see a lot of action this month. From preparing big meals to washing all those extra dishes, your sink and garbage disposal will be getting a workout. To prevent clogs, avoid putting grease, bones, or fibrous foods like potato peels and corn husks down the drain. Running cold water while using your disposal can also help prevent jams and keep things moving smoothly.
Another thing to keep an eye on is your water heater. With colder weather in full swing, you’ll likely be using more hot water for showers, dishes, and laundry. If you haven’t had your water heater serviced yet, consider scheduling a quick check-up. A simple flush can clear out sediment, helping your heater work more efficiently and saving you on energy bills.
With all the holiday decorations and lights going up, be sure to check your bathroom and kitchen plumbing for any leaks or drips. Those small issues can turn into bigger ones during the busy season. If you notice anything unusual, it’s always better to address it before it becomes a full-blown problem.
At Bob’s Rooter & Plumbing, we’re here to help you keep your home running smoothly this December. Whether you need a quick maintenance check, an emergency repair, or advice on preparing your plumbing for the winter, we’re just a phone call away.
Wishing you and your family a joyful, stress-free holiday season filled with warmth, laughter, and, of course, clog-free pipes!
