Party Like It’s 1985! SCV Food Pantry’s 40th Anniversary Celebration
Please join the Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry in celebrating its 40th Anniversary of service to the community on Sunday, November 16th, from 4-7 PM at Lucky Luke’s tasting room in Valencia. The Pantry is excited to share this one-of-a-kind event with you. Not a gala, but a totally rad 1985-style concert party featuring “FAST TIMES THE BAND.” Wear your best 1980s gear or literally whatever you like! It’s going to be AWESOME!
No ball gowns here, only a great time with great friends, celebrating a truly great cause… feeding our neighbors and friends.
Since 1985, the Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry has been recovering food and sharing it with the people of Santa Clarita. Started as a small pantry in St. Stephen’s Church, the SCV Food Pantry has persevered through the years to grow into what it is now: the oldest and largest food pantry in Santa Clarita Valley. We are a volunteer-centric non-profit, with over 800 volunteers offering their valuable time very month. Our friendly staff and Board of Directors are excited, ready and capable to bring the Pantry to new exciting places in the coming years, working towards a new location and feeding even more people through outreach and kindness.
The Pantry serves people from all walks of life: the working poor, families in need, students, children, college students, senior citizens, veterans, the semi-housed and the unhoused. The Pantry also works in conjunction with other local non-profits and organizations to nourish and help people in crisis, like Child and Family Center, the Boys and Girls Club, and the Veterans’ Collaborative. Presently, the Pantry serves between 8,000 and 10,000 neighbors every month.
Every dollar raised through tickets will directly go to our mission: Feeding Our Community with Dignity and Compassion. With your help we can keep this mission alive.
Won’t you join us?
Tickets on sale at Eventbrite or by linking there through our website, www.scvfoodpantry.org. General admission is $100. Every ticket purchase comes with a free 40th Anniversary, limited edition T-Shirt! Pizza and beer can be purchased on site from Lucky Luke’s and the very popular, Slice House, as an additional fund raiser for the Pantry.
There will also be a dunk tank so you can dunk your favorite Pantry board member, staff person, or local luminary! So much fun for everyone!
