Rooted in Santa Clarita Three Decades of Stories, Service, and Community Connection Celebrating 36 Years of Santa Clarita Magazine and 23 Years of élite Magazine
As we step into 2026, our family is filled with profound gratitude as we celebrate two incredible milestones. Santa Clarita Magazine turns 36 years old and élite Magazine celebrates 23 years in publication. These anniversaries are more than numbers. They are a testament to the unwavering support of a community that has embraced our work, believed in our mission, and allowed us to grow alongside the Santa Clarita Valley for more than three decades.
What began in 1990 as a cheerful holiday guide titled “Mistletoe and Holly” has grown into the publication you know today as Santa Clarita Magazine. From the earliest days, Moe and Linda dreamed of creating something that would bring people together, highlight the amazing contributions of local residents, and serve as a resource that families could count on month after month. Over the years, that dream has flourished. Santa Clarita Magazine has become a trusted part of the community, sharing stories that reflect the real heart of our valley. We have featured local businesses, arts organizations, health and wellness leaders, community champions, and countless nonprofits that make Santa Clarita stronger every day.
Throughout our journey, giving back has been a guiding principle. We have proudly supported local charities, raised awareness for important causes, and wholeheartedly championed programs that benefit children, families, and individuals in need. From dedicating covers to nonprofits to supporting events like SCV Dancing with Our Stars, our commitment to service has always been central to our mission. Sharing these stories has never been a job. It has been an honor and a privilege.
In 2003, our family expanded its vision with the introduction of élite Magazine. Designed as a bi monthly glossy publication, élite brings a fresh and vibrant perspective to lifestyle, arts, culture, entertainment, fashion, dining, and the many personalities who give Santa Clarita its character. For 23 years, élite has celebrated what makes our valley unique, from its creative energy to its remarkable residents. Each issue reflects the incredible diversity of passions and talents found within our community.
Today, with Alex carrying the family legacy into a new era, we continue to evolve while staying true to our roots. His dedication to supporting local nonprofits and community initiatives speaks to the values that have driven these magazines since day one. Through his ongoing involvement with the WiSH Education Foundation, Circle of Hope, JCI Santa Clarita, LEAP Children’s Museum, and many other charitable efforts, Alex is committed to ensuring that our publications remain a force for good. His leadership brings renewed energy, fresh creativity, and a continued focus on shining a light on the people and organizations that make Santa Clarita extraordinary.
These magazines have always been built on relationships. We are here today because of our loyal readers who invite us into their homes, our advertisers who trust us with their message, our nonprofit partners who inspire us with their work, and our community members who continually remind us why Santa Clarita is such a special place to live. Every page we publish and every story we share is a reflection of the trust you have placed in us for more than three decades.
As we celebrate these 2026 milestones, we look to the future with excitement and dedication. We remain committed to producing publications that celebrate local life, uplift community voices, and serve as reliable resources for everything happening in the Santa Clarita Valley. Our mission has always been to bring people together through storytelling, connection, and shared pride in our hometown. That promise remains as strong as ever.
Thank you for 36 amazing years of Santa Clarita Magazine and 23 inspiring years of élite Magazine. We are humbled by your support and honored to continue this journey with you. Here is to the next chapter, filled with creativity, community spirit, and stories that celebrate the heart of Santa Clarita.
With sincere gratitude,
Moe, Linda, and Alexander Hafizi
