Unwrap the Fun at Holidays – Discovery Cube LA
This holiday season, Discovery Cube LA invites families to step into a world where festive magic and hands-on science come together. Holidays at the Cube transforms the entire campus into a cheerful celebration filled with interactive exhibits, seasonal activities, and STEM-powered fun designed to inspire guests of all ages.
A highlight of this year’s lineup is the new Winter Festival Courtyard Experience, running December 19 through January 11. This outdoor wonderland features two mega slides, bumper cars, holiday science demonstrations, and plenty of wintry surprises. Families can glide, spin, and explore through a playful courtyard designed to bring the season to life. The experience is free for members and included with admission, making it a memorable outing throughout winter break.
Inside the Cube, the beloved Science of Gingerbread returns from November 22 to January 4. This sweet seasonal tradition showcases dozens of gingerbread creations crafted by local families, students, and community members. Each whimsical design blends holiday imagination with engineering and chemistry concepts, turning the Cube into a festive gallery of creativity.
Families can also capture memories with Photos with Santa on select December dates, enjoy live performances and hands-on activities during Power of the Arts on December 6–7 — featuring special guests Tom Kenny, the voice of SpongeBob SquarePants, and DJ Lance Rock from Yo Gabba Gabba! — or give back during the annual Toy Drive December 9–14, where each donated toy earns a free child ticket (redeemable December 9–14).
Young innovators can dive deeper into learning through the Winter Tech Olympics Camp, a high-energy week of coding, robotics, and teamwork that keeps kids engaged during winter break. And to close out the season, the popular Noon Year’s Eve celebration returns on December 31 with a giant balloon drop, sparkling apple juice toast, themed crafts, and interactive science activities. It’s the perfect way for families to ring in the new year before bedtime.
