The Brittany Foundation Finding Their Forever Home – Jan 2026
A non-profit humane organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of homeless dogs, has several dogs for adoption.
WALLY
Wally is cute as a button with a face that instantly makes you smile. However, he also has big feelings and, when triggered, can bite like a baby shark. Life at the sanctuary allows Wally to thrive on his own terms. He enjoys predictable routines, experienced caregivers, and an environment that minimizes stress while maximizing his quality of life. Wally may not be a candidate for traditional adoption, but he is absolutely deserving of love, patience, and lifelong care. We are currently seeking a sponsor for him to help cover the cost of his daily needs, including food, veterinary care, enrichment, training support, and the dedicated staff who ensure his safety and well-being. By sponsoring Wally, you become an essential part of his journey and help give him the stable, dignified life he deserves. Wally may be a sanctuary pup, but to us he is family.
BONITA
Bonita came to us after her owner passed away and there was no family able to care for her. She arrived with her two longtime companions, Pita and Chiquita. Since then, Chiquita has been adopted, and Bonita is now waiting for a loving home of her own. As a senior dog, she appreciates comfort and consistency. She loves fluffy beds, cozy blankets, and gentle routines. Bonita enjoys yummy soft treats and soft foods, which are necessary since she has had all but two of her teeth removed. She would thrive in a home where she can be a cherished companion and treated like the true princess she is. While she still has plenty of energy and enjoys spending time with her people, she also values quiet moments and relaxation.
BONNY
Bonny is a Central Asian Shepherd, also known as an Alabai, an ancient livestock-guardian breed known for loyalty and strong protective instincts. Due to neglect during a critical stage of development, she needs an experienced and understanding home. About 3 years old and 150 pounds, Bonny would thrive on a property with plenty of space, a calm routine, and the same comforts she enjoys at the sanctuary, including toys, soft bedding, and shelter. With committed caregivers who understand her breed, Bonny is ready to thrive and offer deep loyalty and companionship.
LEONA
This spunky little 12-year-old Shih Poo is ready to start 2026 with a new chapter of her life. Leona lost her home due to landlord issues and needed a place where she could feel safe and loved. Despite the change, she has shown just how resilient she is, settling in quickly and feeling right at home with the other senior littles here at the Ranch. Leona is a confident and social senior who enjoys her routines and knows how to make herself comfortable. She is a special needs senior who has Cushing’s disease and requires medication twice a day to help manage her condition. Leona is ready for a fresh start and dreams of a home where every day is filled with love, comfort, and companionship.
CLARENCE
This charming senior pup arrived at the Castaic Shelter as a stray and quickly captured the hearts of the volunteers, who could not bear to see him in the shelter’s bustling environment. Luckily, we were able to provide him with a warm welcome here at The Ranch. He enjoys his days in a calm and comfortable environment. Like many seniors, his eyes are somewhat cloudy and his hearing is not perfect, though he can still hear a treat wrapper crinkling from three rooms away. You can help make his life even better by sponsoring him. Sponsorship helps cover his food, veterinary care, medications, and the dedicated staff who ensure he has a happy, healthy, and fulfilling life. By sponsoring him, you become an essential part of his story and provide the love and care he deserves.
SADIE
Sadie spent the first few months of her life surviving on the streets of Los Angeles with a pack of other dogs. After being rescued, she was placed in a foster home that was not fully prepared for a young, energetic pup, which is how she came to be in our care. She is now thriving in a wonderful foster home and receives glowing reviews from everyone who meets her. She can be a little cautious around men at first, but once she trusts their intentions, she melts into a puddle of love. Smart, athletic, and incredibly loyal, Sadie is full of energy and adventure. She is looking for a loving home in the New Year with a human companion who can keep up with her playful spirit and share in her love of exploration. Sadie is ready to bring joy, loyalty, and excitement into the life of the right family. Could this New Year be the start of her next great adventure with you?
MARLOWE
Marlowe was brought to the South LA Shelter in January 2023, abandoned by the only family he had ever known. He had little time there before we welcomed him to the Ranch, where he has now been for over two years. Every day, Marlowe greets everyone with excitement, goes for his walk, and then enjoys relaxing with his fellow senior friends. If you are interested in adopting Marlowe and giving him the loving home he deserves, please contact us to arrange a visit. Marlowe is ready to bring joy, love, and his playful senior spirit into a new family’s life.
VERA
Vera is a vibrant and playful 9-year old Chihuahua with energy and personality to spare. She was surrendered to the Castaic Shelter, where the experience left her feeling frightened and overwhelmed. Labeled as Rescue Only, she needed a second chance and that is exactly what she got when she joined us. Since arriving, Vera has truly flourished. She is athletic, curious, and full of life, thriving with playtime, attention, and companionship. Vera would love a home that can match her enthusiasm and zest for life, giving her the love and engagement she deserves. You can follow Vera’s adventures and see more of her personality on Instagram at @thebrittanyfoundation. Vera is ready to bring joy, energy, and companionship to a lucky family who is ready to embrace her playful spirit.
