The Santa Clarita Koi & Water Garden Club
If you’re sick of looking at your boring backyard, maybe a beautiful pond outside your kitchen window is the answer. Take a 3rd Sunday of the month for a afternoon drive and come to one of our regular monthly meetings at 4pm . Maybe you have some questions and hopefully we can answer them. The Santa Clarita Koi & Watergarden Club is a valuable information resource to members of the Santa Clarita Pond community
Our club is open to all, whether your pond is large ,small, or not yet built. All levels of interest are welcome… from hobbyist to show quality. Our club was created to promote our hobby, which involves the participation, care, breeding, and showing of Japanese Nishikigoi [fish} commonly referred to as koi.
We also invite koi “professionals” [veterinarians, product, suppliers, judges, contractors, breeders] to present at some meetings. We share information and experiences of interest to most pond owners: construction, design and equipment, selection, filtration, health, issues, water, quality, predators, nutrition, breeding. Water turtles, Goldfish included.
Are recent club activities, for those that chose to participate have included an annual growth contest, and field trips to a Koi farm and Koi shows, raffles, and our last outing was Descanso Gardens.
Guest attendance is free, annual membership is $25 per pond. We invite people to attend a meeting or two before deciding to join.
