A Note From the Publishers – June 2026
June has arrived, bringing with it longer days, warmer evenings, and so many wonderful opportunities to celebrate the people and organizations that make the Santa Clarita Valley such a special place to call home.
This month, we are especially excited to feature not one, but two incredible nonprofit organizations on our cover. The first is the Boys & Girls Club and their upcoming “La Dolce Vita” event, which promises to be a memorable evening filled with community spirit and support for the young people they serve throughout our valley. Organizations like the Boys & Girls Club continue to make a lasting impact by providing mentorship, encouragement, and opportunities for local youth to grow and thrive.
Sharing the cover this month is another outstanding community organization, the Salvation Army, along with their fun and much-anticipated Donut Eating Event. Events like these not only bring people together for laughter and connection, but also help raise awareness and support for the many important services the Salvation Army provides to families and individuals in need throughout our community.
As you flip through this issue, you’ll also find the continuation of our Old Town Newhall section. We love shining a spotlight on the heart of our community and the many small businesses, restaurants, boutiques, and local entrepreneurs who help make Santa Clarita unique. We encourage everyone to shop local whenever possible and continue supporting the hardworking small business owners who invest so much into our valley every single day. Every meal enjoyed, every gift purchased, and every local service supported truly makes a difference.
June is also a time of celebration for families, and this issue includes our special Dad’s & Grad’s Gift Guide filled with ideas to help honor the fathers, graduates, and role models in our lives. To all the dads, grandfathers, stepfathers, mentors, and father figures, Happy Father’s Day! Thank you for the love, guidance, and encouragement you provide every day. And to the graduates of the Class of 2026, congratulations on this exciting milestone. Whether you are graduating from kindergarten, high school, college, or beyond, we wish you continued success and happiness as you begin your next chapter.
Families will also enjoy our Kids Guide, packed with ideas, activities, and resources to help make summer fun for children throughout the SCV. And don’t forget to check out our community calendar on the final pages of the magazine, where you’ll find a variety of events happening throughout June. From local festivals and fundraisers to concerts and family activities, there is always something happening right here in our hometown.
As always, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our loyal readers and amazing advertisers. Your continued support allows us to share the positive stories, local businesses, community events, and inspiring people that make Santa Clarita such an incredible place to live and work. We are grateful to be part of this community and honored that you continue to invite us into your homes each month.
Wishing you all a happy, safe, and wonderful June!
With appreciation,
Until next time!
Sincerely, Linda, Moe and Alexander Hafizi
