Child & Family Center Celebrates 50 Years of Changing Lives
For five decades, Child & Family Center has stood as one of Santa Clarita’s most impactful nonprofit organizations, providing hope, healing and support to thousands of children, teens and families throughout the community. In 2026, the organization proudly celebrates its 50th Anniversary with a special yearlong milestone culminating in their “Golden Legacy” celebration on September 17, 2026.
Since opening its doors in 1976, Child & Family Center has remained committed to its mission of “Changing Lives. Healing Relationships. Helping People Thrive.” Through counseling, mental health care, domestic violence support, substance abuse recovery programs and community outreach services, the organization has become a lifeline for individuals and families facing some of life’s most difficult challenges.
What began as a grassroots effort to support local children and families has grown into a comprehensive organization serving thousands annually across Santa Clarita and surrounding communities. Today, the Center offers a full spectrum of care including individual and family counseling, school-based services, parenting support, crisis intervention, domestic violence programs and prevention education.
The 50th Anniversary celebration is more than just a milestone event. It is a tribute to the countless staff members, volunteers, donors, partners and community supporters who have helped shape the organization over the past five decades. It is also an opportunity to recognize the incredible resilience of the families and individuals whose lives have been positively impacted through the Center’s programs and services.
As mental health awareness and family support services continue to become increasingly important, Child & Family Center remains dedicated to evolving alongside the needs of the community while continuing to provide compassionate and accessible care.
This golden anniversary serves as both a celebration of the past and a commitment to the future. For 50 years, Child & Family Center has strengthened families and built a stronger community. Their legacy of compassion, healing and hope continues to inspire Santa Clarita and will undoubtedly impact generations to come.
