Marlee Lauffer Leaves Lasting Legacy at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital
Marlee Lauffer, president of the Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Foundation and vice president of marketing and communications for Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, will retire June 19 after 11 years of service.
Since joining Henry Mayo in 2015, Marlee has led fundraising, marketing, communications, community outreach and volunteer services for the hospital. She played a key role in raising nearly $15 million for the hospital’s new patient tower and more recently focused efforts on upgraded surgery suites and a second cardiovascular lab.
Marlee also expanded the Foundation’s Corporate Partners program, strengthened breast cancer fundraising initiatives and helped grow the Home Tour fundraiser. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she directed community outreach and education efforts while supporting expanded hospital services and partnerships, including Henry Mayo’s collaboration with Keck Medicine of USC.
Following retirement, Marlee plans to remain active in the Santa Clarita Valley community and continue supporting Henry Mayo and local nonprofit organizations.
