Relay for Life Thanks Sponsors, Event Leaders and Community Participants – American Cancer Society
The American Cancer Society is a 98% volunteer-run organization, and ACS couldn’t achieve its goals without the participation of generous sponsors as well as the work of selfless volunteers. Relay For Life of Santa Clarita Valley would not be possible without the commitment of our community.
We are deeply grateful to this year’s sponsors and partners: UCLA Health, Keck Medicine of USC & Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, Boston Scientific, The Natural SKN Company, Shegerian & Associates, Frontier Toyota, Nusano, Kemper Auto, and Supervisor Kathryn Barger.
We also extend heartfelt gratitude to our 25-member Event Leadership Team—the driving force behind Relay, for their months of planning, coordination, and unwavering dedication. They ensure that the American Cancer Society can continue its work to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. Thank you to this year’s Event Leadership Team: Aimee Whaley, Sam Di Santo, Abby Smith, Agnes Russell, Amanda Jones, Brad Peach, Carol Calkins, Erin Lewis, Jen Minard, Jim Ziemkowski, Kathleen Pavard, Laura Peach, Leslie Borgen, Lisa Prather, Loren Burghout, Lynn Kopp, Melissa Danielsen, Melody Montgomery, Nancy Fishwick, Rebecca Jones, Ronna Randall, Samantha Lindsey, Stacy Christman, Susan Pearsall, and Yvonne Salas.
We also acknowledge the contributions of our Relay Team Captains who play a vital role in guiding the team’s fundraising efforts and ensuring that each team’s event runs smoothly on the day of Relay. Captains build a special bond among team members and provide guidance to answer questions and solve problems. Their leadership is the reason this event continues to thrive.
Without the tireless efforts of dedicated sponsors, event leaders, and volunteers as well as the supportive participation of the Santa Clarita community, important funding for research, programs, and services would not be possible. They help fuel the mission of the American Cancer Society to fight every cancer, for every life.
Inspiring acts of kindness by people working together toward a common purpose creates magic that achieves dreams. Support the fight against cancer and volunteer to save lives. The power of working together can bring about monumental change.
