Self Care, Connection and Community: A Meaningful May – SRD Straightening Reins
In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month 2026, SRD Straightening Reins invites the Santa Clarita community to its Self Care Roundup: For a Well Rounded Self. This unique event blends healing, connection and hands-on experiences designed to support mental wellness in a peaceful ranch setting.
Hosted on May 9th and May 30th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in Castaic, the Self Care Roundup offers attendees the chance to slow down and reconnect. Known for its equine-assisted programs, SRD Straightening Reins uses the calming presence of horses to help individuals reduce stress, build confidence and find emotional balance. These guided interactions create a powerful and memorable path toward healing.
More than just a day of self care, the event encourages participants to take action in three meaningful ways: for yourself, for others and for your community. Whether you are looking to recharge, support mental health awareness or simply experience something new, this event welcomes all.
At a time when life can feel overwhelming, creating space for wellness is more important than ever. The connection between people and horses offers a grounding experience that promotes clarity, calm and personal growth.
SRD Straightening Reins continues to be a valuable resource in the Santa Clarita Valley, providing programs that uplift and empower individuals of all ages. The Self Care Roundup is a reminder that taking care of yourself is not a luxury, it is essential.
Take this opportunity to pause, reflect and invest in your well-being this May.
