NEWHALL COMMUNITY CENTER
22421 Market St., Newhall, CA
A SWEET HISTORY
National Donut Day dates back to 1938, when the Salvation Army created the holiday to honor the “Donut Lassies,” women who served donuts and supported soldiers during World War I. Today, Donut Day brings communities together while supporting the work of local Salvation Army programs. The Santa Clarita Valley Salvation Army Corps is proud to continue that tradition in the SCV!
THE DONUT HOLE SHOWDOWN
Dignitaries, public safety officials and community members will go head-to-head in a donut hole eating contest, competing to see how many they can eat in just two minutes! Sponsored by Agustin Prieto, owner of California Bakery & Café, the contest promises laughs, friendly competition and of course, LOTS of donuts. The event will once again be emceed by Ed Masterson!
FUN FOR THE WHOLE COMMUNITY
Beyond the contest, families and attendees can enjoy games, music and more. Come together, enjoy an afternoon at the community center and support the incredible work of the Salvation Army in the Santa Clarita Valley. Learn more about local programs and services that assist individuals and families throughout our community.
SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES ARE OPEN!
